Our core services

Start with how your firm runs

At some point, the way a firm manages its projects stops keeping up with the work it wins. Revenue and margin slip away between a closed deal and a paid invoice. Details drop at the handoff, billing falls behind, and leaders make decisions from reports they don’t fully trust.

The right setup fixes that. Solvit meets your operation where it is today, then adds or improves the systems and processes that recover lost margin, help teams collaborate, and give your business room to grow with confidence.

We act as an extension of your team, bringing deep Salesforce, project management, and professional services automation (PSA) expertise to get sales and delivery working from the same plan. From the first implementation onward, we stay involved and keep optimizing as your needs change.

Implementation

Implementation built around how your business runs

We implement Salesforce and PSA platforms that bring your data into one place, automate the workflows that slow you down, and give you numbers you can act on, so sales, delivery, and finance work from the same picture.

  • Tailored to how you work: your system set up around your processes, with customer and project data together in Salesforce.
  • Built for adoption: we bring years of implementation experience and recommend the best practices that make the system easier to use, so your team gets up to speed quickly.

After go-live

Amplify: Salesforce and PSA managed services

Most firms go live on a slice of what they bought and stay there. Our Amplify solution, a flexible, ongoing managed services program, keeps a Solvit team alongside yours after go-live so the rest of your Salesforce and PSA platform gets used. We keep a roadmap of enhancements with you, reprioritize it as your business changes, and deliver steadily, so your team gets more from the platform over time. Ongoing Salesforce admin and support are covered too, so your people can focus on their work.

  • Salesforce and PSA expertise: more support when you need it, without building or growing an in-house team.
  • Living roadmap: enhancements prioritized with you and delivered continuously, so adoption keeps growing.
  • Release-ready: we review each Salesforce release against your configuration and handle what it changes.

Need something smaller? We also take on defined projects.

Reporting & analytics

Reporting and analytics across Salesforce and your PSA

Good decisions need numbers people trust. We help professional services firms get the data right underneath, then build the reports and dashboards leaders use to run the business, from utilization and capacity to project health and margin. As you grow, we keep refining them.

We help you decide what to measure, then pick the right tool

Years of working inside PSA and Salesforce data mean we know what services firms need to track and where those numbers come from. We start by agreeing on definitions with you, then recommend the simplest tool that answers the question. That could be a standard report, a dashboard, trend reporting, or your BI platform. If something isn’t the right fit, we’ll tell you.

Select a capability to see what’s involved.

KPI and utilization design

We define utilization, capacity, margin, and headcount in writing before anything is built, down to the edge cases: bench time, holidays, and the person who leaves mid-month and should count only for the days they worked. Baseline versus forecast and schedule performance measures get the same treatment, so everyone reads the same number the same way.

Building and enhancing reports

Views for leadership, finance, the PMO, delivery, resource management, and sales, built on how your data is structured so totals match at every level. We build new reports and dashboards and improve the ones you already have, with custom components where a standard report can’t show what a team needs. We work in Salesforce, your PSA, Power BI, and Tableau.

Trend and exception reporting

See how your numbers change over time, not just where they stand today, and spot exceptions early so they don’t become month-end surprises.

Forecasting and plan versus actual

Compare plan to actual and keep forecasts current as projects change, so leadership works from a current view of revenue and capacity.

Data integration and platforms

Clean, consistent numbers, even when your reporting draws on more than one system. We shape the Salesforce and PSA data model, extracts, and connections so your data arrives ready to use in Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, or your BI tool.

Governed access to sensitive numbers

Role-based views let engagement owners see margin without seeing individual cost rates. Export controls decide who can take the data out of the system.

Fix the data before you chart it

A dashboard is only as good as the records underneath it, so when a number looks wrong, we start with the data. Clean, consistent data is also where any AI effort has to start, which is why it’s one of the areas our AI Readiness Screen looks at.

  • Calculations and roll-ups that add up at every level
  • Reconciliation with your finance and legacy systems
  • Capturing the fields your reporting depends on
  • Cleaning up historical records

Org merge & migration

Salesforce org merge and migration

Merging Salesforce orgs (separate Salesforce environments), or migrating data from one Salesforce org to another, is no small feat. The need usually follows an acquisition, a reorganization, or years of teams building on their own. We understand the complexities and know the questions to ask to get it right.

Our approach: business first, then technology. We start with how your company will operate once its systems come together, then plan the technical work so Salesforce keeps delivering value for every team. Experience across many org merges shows which pieces have to be right, so scope doesn’t balloon and both sides of the business come out of go-live with the data and processes they need.

Org merge and migration work typically covers:

  • Consolidating two or more Salesforce orgs into one after a merger, acquisition, or reorganization
  • Migrating data from one Salesforce org to another, including objects and history, with deduplication and cleanup before anything moves
  • Combining sales, service, and delivery processes, including the professional services data in your PSA
  • Rebuilding reports, dashboards, and access for the combined business
  • Testing in a sandbox, planning the cutover, and supporting your team after go-live

Plan for the best, prepare for anything

Even the best-planned org merges can hit unexpected errors, lags, and performance problems. We’ve seen most of them before, and we invest in tools that pinpoint what’s going wrong quickly, so we can get you back on track with minimal disruption to your business.

How do you move information from one system to another?

We define how the combined business will operate first, then plan how data, processes, and workflows move into one Salesforce org to support it, so nothing is moved without a reason.

How far back do you go with legacy data?

It’s a business decision as much as a technical one. We work through what your teams still use, what you need for reporting and compliance, and what can be archived, then migrate to the scope you agree on.

What processes get retained, replaced, or combined?

Merging companies usually means duplicate data that doesn’t align and multiple processes and workflows that need to be combined. We map how each side works today, agree on the target process with you, and configure Salesforce around it.

How do you keep reporting and dashboards working after the merge?

Dashboards need to be reconfigured to account for the new data without creating performance issues. We plan the rebuild alongside the data migration and test it before cutover, so your teams can rely on their numbers from day one.
